Mark Your Calendars for WCA District Meetings and County Officials Workshops (COWS)
In spring of even-numbered years, the Wisconsin Counties Association holds two important events: WCA District Meetings, as well as County Officials Workshops (COWS).

WCA DISTRICT MEETINGS
WCA holds District Meetings after the spring general election. WCA uses these district meetings to elect members to the WCA Board of Directors and the Wisconsin County Mutual Insurance Corporation Board of Directors.
The county board chair or a vice chair may also designate, in writing, the county executive or another county supervisor to serve as the county’s voting delegate. In addition to the elections, the meetings will include a brief update on the Association, a legislative update, as well as information on WCA’s programs and services.

COUNTY OFFICIALS WORKSHOPS (COWS)-REGISTRATION OPENS APRIL 1, 2024
COWS are offered to you by UW-Madison, Extension – Local Government Education Program and the Wisconsin Counties Association. PLEASE NOTE REGISTRATION WILL OPEN APRIL 1, 2024 AND LINKS WILL BE FOUND ON THIS PAGE.
These one-day workshops are a unique opportunity for newly elected county government officials and veterans of the county board to learn from experienced educators about best practices and how to avoid the pitfalls of governance. The cost to attend is $75. Registration materials will be sent to all counties in early April. The program runs from 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. COWS 2024 dates and locations are as follows:
