Welder/ Mechanic- Highway

Purpose of Position:
The purpose of this position is to diagnose, weld, fabricate and perform minor mechanical repair of Highway Department equipment and machinery.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a CDL license. Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. 2 years’ experience in welding and machining, fabrication or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
Technical/Vocational degree from an accredited technical college or vocational school in welding and machining with 2 years’ experience in welding, machining, and fabrication.

This position is a FT 40 hours per week position. Starting Salary $27.83- $31.81 per per hour (Depending of qualifications ) plus fringe benefits.
