TREATMENT COURT COORDINATOR

DISTRICT ATTORNEY

The full-time Treatment Court Coordinator will be responsible for the oversight/management of the Taylor County Treatment Court Program, the coordination of the activities necessary to achieve its overall function in the community and maintaining high quality services within the budget limits and in accordance with its funding sources/grant requirements. This includes working with the treatment court team, service providers and court participants maintaining client data and working closely with members of the community involved in treatment court. This work involves extensive planning, organizing, coordination and monitoring activities of treatment court in accordance with policies and procedures, and judicial and state treatment court standards. Case management duties include providing support and coordination of services for clients so that they may achieve success during their participation in the program by using outreach, initial/comprehensive assessments, developing case plans, initial screening, coordinating diagnosis/assessment, rehabilitation, treatment and support services and randomized drug testing to people with substance abuse disorders, criminal personality traits and/or mental illness.

Applicant must have an Associate Degree in Alcohol & other Drug Abuse, Human Services or related field and/or combination of education, training, or work experience to provide the necessary skills and competencies with knowledge of treatment court standards and philosophies, familiarity with criminal justice systems and direct service work with the correctional/criminal justice population. A Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Behavioral Sciences or other related field is preferred. Experience with OWI/Drug Treatment Court systems, national and state standards and philosophies and direct service work with correctional/criminal justice population. Applicant must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and possess a valid driver’s license.
