Transportation Planner
POSITION SUMMARY
This position designs and coordinates studies and develops plans related to transportation issues as needed for the Wausau Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), Marathon County transportation related committees, and other entities. This position also supports the oversight of the MPO and their administration of the Title 23 funds. This position may assist with other county planning functions.
QUALIFICIATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, transportation planning or related field, and 2 years professional experience; OR a master’s degree in urban planning or related field, and 1-year professional experience OR any other combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities. Ability to obtain certification by the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) is desired.
COMPENSATION
Starting Annual Salary: $62,816 – $70,345 based on experience.
