Solid Waste Director

This is a professional and administrative position responsible to plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Solid Waste Department. The position exercises considerable independent judgment in county-wide solid waste and recycling matters under the policy guidance of the Solid Waste Committee and the supervision of the County Manager/Administrative Coordinator.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in recycling, waste resource management, engineering, or related field and extensive experience in landfill and material recovery facilities operations, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Obtain Wisconsin Landfill Operator and Manager Certification within 6 months of hire. Valid driver’s license in the State of Wisconsin.

Starting Salary: $34.63 per hour, plus a generous benefits package.
