Social Worker/Child Welfare Case Manager

Washburn County is accepting applications for a Child Welfare Case Manager or Social Worker in the Family Services Unit with the Department of Health and Human Services. This position provides services to families experiencing issues with child abuse and neglect, delinquency, parent-child conflict and foster care. Considerable independent judgment, discretion and boundaries are required in working with families, providers, and community agencies. This position will also work with foster care homes, including eligibility, licensing and coordination. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field. Wisconsin Social Work Certification or ability to obtain is preferred. Must have a valid WI driver’s license. Starting salary range is $26.14-$29.06/hr for Social Worker and $25.02-$27.81/hr for Child Welfare Case Manager, DOQ plus excellent benefits.
