Do you have a passion for helping others? If so, the Monroe County Dept. of Human Services Behavioral Health Unit might have the job for you. We are hiring for a full-time Adult Protective Services & Comprehensive Community Services Social Worker. Successful candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree with a major in social work, sociology, psychology, guidance and counseling, or a general college degree with two years professional experience in a Human Services agency. A valid Wisconsin driver’s license is required. Credentialing by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services as a certified Social Worker; or other advanced credential such as Advanced Practice Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Marriage and Family Therapist, however, individuals who can clearly identify a path to licensure may be considered.

Our APS & CCS Social Worker provides services to vulnerable adults at risk due to, but not limited to, physical abuse, emotional abuse, and financial exploitation. This position also provides initial and ongoing assessments and serves as a resource person while developing case plans, making arrangements for appropriate services, and monitoring individuals receiving Behavioral Health Services.

Starting salary for this position is $43,680 – $45,760. Monroe County offers an exceptional benefit package to include health with vision, dental, term life, Wisconsin Retirement System, and more.
