Waupaca County is seeking a detail-oriented individual to assist with the enforcement of sanitary and land use ordinances. This position supports the Zoning Administrator with on-site inspections, permit reviews, ordinance interpretation, and public assistance. Key duties include:

Reviewing development plans and issuing permits

Inspecting Private Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems (POWTS)

Managing the Sanitary Maintenance Program

Coordinating ordinance enforcement and reports

Serving as a liaison to county, state, and federal agencies

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in environmental health, soil science, planning, or related field (or equivalent experience)

At least two years of related professional experience

WI certification as a Certified Soil Tester and POWTS Inspector

Skills:
Strong communication, public service, and organizational skills; knowledge of land use regulations and environmental controls.
