Starting Pay Range: $30.22-31.65

The full-time (40 hr/week) registered nurse in public health supports the foundational clinical programs and services of the department. Responsibilities include assisting in the prevention, assessment and risk reduction services for individuals, families, and entire populations to reach desired public health outcomes. Activities include, but are not limited to, providing clinical services to clients, coalition building and community engagement, and collaborating with community partners to promote the health of the population.
Registered nurses work in both community and clinical settings and across multi-agency teams to support the individuals, families, and communities they serve. Examples of clinical services to clients include foot nail care, immunizations, manual blood pressures and blood lead screenings.
Applicants must possess an associate degree in nursing, however, a bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred. A minimum of two [2] years nursing experience in public health settings is preferred.
Must have a current State of Wisconsin license as a registered nurse, possess a valid driver’s license, pass a caregiver background check and obtain BLS certification within six months of hire.
