Register in Probate/Probate Registrar
Are you interested in the probate process and have previous law-office or court related experience? If so, the Monroe County Circuit Court might have the job for you. We are looking for a full-time Register in Probate/Probate Registrar. Successful candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in a paralegal, legal, public administration, or closely related field. Five years of law-office or court-related experience is desired. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired may also be considered.
Our Register in Probate/Probate Registrar is a court official who coordinates the judicial activities and administrative functions of the Probate Court in accordance with Wisconsin State Statute 865.065 to ensure effective administration of probate court and maintenance of accurate and complete records in accordance with legal requirements. This position provides the circuit court, attorneys, and the general public with courteous, professional, and proficient services that facilitate legal proceedings for administration of decedents’ estates, trusts, guardianships, protective placements, conservatorships and mental health commitments. This position requires the ability to perform detailed work accurately and independently and to prioritize duties to accomplish a high volume of work.
