Public Health Nurse Manager

Are you a skilled nurse looking to take the next step into a managerial role while promoting public health and disease prevention? If so, the Monroe County Health Department might have the job for you! We are hiring for a full-time Public Health Nurse Manager. Successful candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in nursing and five years’ work experience as a Public Health Nurse. Three years of lead or supervisory experience is desired. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired may also be considered.

Our Public Health Nurse Manager assists the Health Officer in the overall administrative oversight, visioning, leadership, planning, coordinating, and management of the Health Department. This position provides daily oversight over the service programs, training, and supervision, in addition to assisting in the development and administration of department programs and budgets. This position provides leadership and management to assigned staff; analyzes and evaluates service deliver; ensures compliance with program requirements; and provides consultation regarding screening cases, crisis management, treatment options, and diagnoses for targeted populations.
