Public Health Nurse

As a Public Health Nurse, you will provide population-based public health programs and services under the direction of the Public Health Manager. Your work will focus on health monitoring, education, policy development, and ensuring access to essential health resources.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and monitor the health needs of individuals, families, and communities.
• Investigate and address health hazards, including communicable diseases.
• Educate and counsel individuals and groups on health issues and preventive measures.
• Develop culturally appropriate health programs and materials.
• Collaborate with community partners to address public health challenges.
• Enforce public health laws and lead program and grant management activities.

This position involves working in a variety of settings, including schools, homes, clinics, and community events. You will play a critical role in promoting health, preventing disease, and ensuring access to vital healthcare services for residents.

REQUIREMENTS: Current RN License in the State of Wisconsin and Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university required. A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Public Health preferred. A valid Wisconsin driver’s license with access to transportation suitable to complete necessary work out of the office. 2025 Salary Range: $64,542 – $73,132 yearly and includes an excellent County benefit package and State retirement plan.
