Public Health Manager/Local Health Officer
Richland County Health and Human Services has a full-time 40 hr/wk opening for a Public Health Manager in our Level II local health office. This position also serves as the Richland County Health Officer as required in Wisconsin Statutes 251.06. Duties include supervising all aspects of the Public Health Unit in accordance with federal and state laws, developing and maintaining the unit budget, creating and implementing policies and procedures, providing direct supervision of unit staff, and grant writing.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing and current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Wisconsin is required. Three years of supervisory experience with a public health agency, including responsibility for a communicable disease prevention and control program, as well as a valid driver’s license with access to reliable transportation is also required. The wage range is $34.60-$36.17 per hour and includes State of Wisconsin Public Employees group health insurance, WRS retirement, and other fringe benefits package.
