Property Room Technician / Investigative Analyst

Oneida County, located in beautiful northern Wisconsin, is accepting applications to fill a Property Room Technician/Investigative Analyst position with the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office.

JOB DUTIES: This position will work in conjunction with the Evidence Custodian to maintain control and accountability for the Evidence Room. Position will receipt, store, and control the physical evidence/property in the custody of the agency. Will also assist in the investigation of criminal activity through collection, analysis, and administrative support pertaining to various forms of electronic and analog records and data. Performs technical support tasks to assist the Technical Support Division.
Candidates are not expected to have experience in job duties listed above in order to be considered. Oneida County provides excellent training and support to help employees develop the knowledge and skills needed to succeed.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS: Qualified candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and two years work experience in an office as a typist, secretary, or related area OR have two years experience in a law enforcement agency as a corrections officer, dispatcher, law enforcement officer or related area OR possess an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Programming, or related field or Criminal Justice. Must have ability to use computer and computer aided technology, prepare accurate and complete reports, and maintain confidentiality of investigations and evidence. Ideal candidate will display initiative and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team and will possess excellent organizational, time management, problem solving and interpersonal skills. Successful applicants will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background investigation, and any other pre-employment testing required by the Sheriff’s Office.

WAGE AND BENEFITS: The 2026 hourly starting wage for this position is $23.57 to $26.26. Starting pay on the wage range based on previous education and experience. Position includes a comprehensive fringe benefit package which includes affordable health insurance, Wisconsin Retirement System benefits, and generous PTO (Paid Time Off) with the ability to carry over unused PTO hours into future years.
