Planning & Zoning Specialist
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Planning and Zoning Specialist is primarily responsible for the administration of the Trempealeau County Department of Land Management Planning needs as well as meeting the Zoning Goals for Trempealeau County. The work is performed under the general direction of the Director of Land Management.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Natural Resource Management or related field and two years of land use planning experience or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. Working knowledge of ArcGis and Microsoft Word, Access, OneNote, and PowerPoint and Wisconsin’s Department of Administration’s Comprehensive Planning Statutes. Uniform Dwelling Code certifications a plus. A valid motor vehicle operator’s license required. Refer to job description for additional information.
COMPENSATION / BENEFITS:
The 2021 wage range for this full-time, non-exempt position is $21.11 per hour to $28.79 per hour (step 20), starting rate depending upon qualifications. Trempealeau County’s compensation plan considers annual wage step increases.
