PLANNING AND PROMOTION SPECIALIST – PUBLIC HEALTH
Chippewa County is accepting applications for a Planning and Promotion Specialist position within the Public Health Department – Community Health Division. This is a unique chance to see how your work can directly improve the health of your community.
In this diverse role, you’ll be charged with identifying and evaluating community needs, providing/managing health education programs that improve community health, leading health communications work, and contributing to strategic planning efforts. You’ll also participate on community coalitions, committees, and task forces as required to promote our public health programs and services.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Health Education, Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, Education, Marketing, English or a related field required. Two (2) years of full-time related work experience (or part-time equivalent) required. Recent work experience in community health assessment and planning models, methods, tools, and techniques preferred. A valid driver’s licenses is required and a cell phone is recommended. Starting Wage: $32.12 – $35.69 per hour depending on qualifications plus an excellent fringe benefit package. Maximum Wage: $42.83 per hour.
