Part-Time Corrections Officer

Jackson County is accepting applications to establish an eligibility list to fill current limited-term and future full-time Corrections Officer positions. This position is responsible for guarding inmates in the penal institution in accordance with established policies, regulations, and procedures. This is a non-sworn position without arrest powers.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must be 18 years of age, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, post-secondary course work and/or knowledge of public safety and security is preferred. Must possess a valid Wisconsin driver’s license.

2022 LTE Wage: $21.35 – $24.40 per hour. LTE position is non-benefited. Hours may vary. 12-hour shifts
