Job Description:

Performs difficult skilled technical work administering and enforcing all codes, ordinances, laws, and regulations pertaining to building, zoning, septic systems, and wells, conducting site evaluations, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the general direction of the Zoning and Land Conservation Director.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: High school diploma or GED and considerable experience in commercial electrical, plumbing, and construction inspection, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Possession of Uniform Dwelling Code Construction and Electrical Inspector certification upon hire. Obtain Uniform Dwelling Code Plumbing, Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Commercial Building Inspector certification within 1 year of hire. Obtain the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services Soil Tester certification and Private Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems inspector certification within 2 or more years of hire. Valid driver’s license in the State of Wisconsin.

Starting Salary: $23.97 per hour. This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
