POSITION SUMMARY:
This temporary/seasonal position reports directly to the Park Manager or Lead Park Specialist and is expected to perform routine park tasks to include park sales and service, visitor safety and compliance, campground operations, and general facility maintenance and service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Primary Duties
The following duties are normal or primary responsibilities for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be required and assigned.
• Conduct the sale of admission passes, camping registrations, equipment rentals, and collection of revenue for other permits/merchandise when needed.
• Reconcile daily revenues.
• Assist with promotional and educational activities and special events.
• Provide information to park visitors.
• Cleaning of restroom/shower facilities, day-use areas, campsites, and beaches.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and pick up litter.
• Enforce all park rules, County policies, regulations and the County Park Ordinance, Chapter 30.
• Patrol park property to ensure compliance, prevent fires and reduce vandalism.
• Participate in county-required safety training.

Secondary Duties
The following duties are considered secondary responsibilities for this position. The functions may be expected on an as needed basis at the discretion of the Supervisor.
• Perform grounds maintenance activities including, but not limited to, lawnmowing, trail maintenance, use area maintenance, herbicide application, hazard tree and brush removal and other related tasks.
• Safely operate park vehicles/equipment (trucks/trailers, UTVs, boats, riding lawnmowers, gas/electric power tools, stationary shop tools and other equipment, etc.).

WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Work is primarily conducted in an outdoor park setting. Employees may be exposed to seasonal temperatures and varying weather conditions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• This position requires a valid driver’s license.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous experience operating light maintenance equipment such as riding lawnmowers, weed trimmers, hand tools, and UTVs preferred.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.

Full Wage Range: $16.63 – $23.17
Expected Wage Range: $16.63 – $18.82
FTE: Temporary/Seasonal, up to 40 hours/week
