Chippewa County is accepting applications for a Parks Maintenance Technician position within the Department of Administration – Facilities and Parks Division. The job duties of the Parks Maintenance Technician include but are not limited to perform maintenance tasks with lead worker supervisory responsibilities under the supervision of the Parks Manager.

Primary duties include but are not limited to: dock instillation and removal, buoys placement and removal, chainsaw work (storm damage and firewood), small engine repair, and structural building repair, etc.

**Full-time, year-round position which may require working on weekends and holidays.

Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED required. An Associates degree in a Construction field, forestry, or small engine maintenance technology desired. Four (4) years construction, forestry, or small engine maintenance work required. A minimum of two (2) years equipment operation (skid steer, back hoe, dump truck, loader, etc.). Starting Wage: $24.54 – $26.67 per hour depending on qualifications plus an excellent fringe benefit package. Maximum Wage: $32.00 per hour.
