Chippewa County is accepting applications for the Network Analyst position within the Information Technology Division. The job duties of the Network Analyst include but are not limited to design, build, and implement secure network and server systems across the enterprise; includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all local, wide and community area network connections (including City of Chippewa), servers, phone system, associated operating systems and software and communication links; responsible for Chippewa County computer network security; ensuring the compliance with all internal and regulatory guidelines regarding protection of sensitive data; troubleshoot network performance issues, as well as analyze network traffic and provide capacity planning solutions; analyze and resolve end-user hardware, software, and network problems and provide end-user training as required. Participation in on call rotation once trained and proficient with systems.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, MIS, Computer Science or related field required with minimum of two (2) years’ experience including system analysis and project management principles OR an Associate’s degree in Information Technology with three (3) recent network/server experience required. Experience working in the public sector preferred. Virtualization experience with VM Ware is preferred. A cell phone and valid driver’s license required. Starting Wage: $30.36 – $32.79 per hour depending on qualifications plus an excellent fringe benefit package. Additional compensation provided for being on call. Maximum Wage: $40.99 per hour.
