Job Description:

Position to perform major and minor repairs to various vehicles/equipment within Highway Department. Qualifications: Level 1 – high school diploma or equivalent; insurance acceptable driver’s license; one year experience in gasoline/diesel engine overhaul/repair, automotive bodywork, gas/electrical welding and electrical hydraulic/braking system repair; Forklift Certification within three months of hire. Level II – high school diploma or equivalent; Class A CDL with no restrictions on air brakes and Tanker endorsement; one year experience in gasoline/diesel engine overhaul/repair, automotive bodywork, gas/electrical welding and electrical hydraulic/braking system repair; Forklift Certification within three months of hire. Level III – high school diploma or equivalent; Class A CDL with no restrictions on air brakes and Tanker endorsement; two years of experience driving with a Class A CDL; one year experience in gasoline/diesel engine overhaul/repair, automotive bodywork, gas/electrical welding and electrical hydraulic/braking system repair; Forklift Certification within three months of hire; ASE Certification in three medium/heavy truck areas 40 hours/week. $19.94 – $27.10 – dependent on qualifications.
