Maintenance Technician

Under the general direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, performs a variety of building, grounds and equipment maintenance and repair functions, in the general cleaning and upkeep of the Sheriff’s Department and Jail facilities and other County buildings, equipment and grounds.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma; work experience in one or more of the building trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanics; four (4) years of related experience or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, or abilities. A valid driver’s license is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Vocational/Technical degree from an accredited college in one or more of the building trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanics; four (4) years of related experience.

This position is a FT 40 hours per week position starting at $21.66-$22.90 per hour (depending on qualifications)
