Maintenance Specialist – Parks Dept.
POSITION SUMMARY:
This is skilled work in the construction and maintenance of park facilities. Work involves the application of skills in the performance of a variety of tasks involving plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, masonry, etc. There is some lead responsibility for directing the work of others.
NORMAL HOURS OF WORK: 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday-Friday.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduation or equivalent, preferably including courses in one of the construction trades, and two years responsible paid work experience in the construction trades involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or masonry skills.
NECESSARY SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Possession of a valid Wisconsin Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) without air brake restrictions; OR pass the required Class A CDL without restrictions on air brakes within 45 days of hire. Probationary employees failing to meet the CDL requirements will be terminated. Also required is a driving record that meets County standards.
COMPENSATION: Salary range: (Min: $17.66, Control Point: $20.75, Max: $24.55)
