Job Description:

Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for a full-time Lieutenant. This is a mid-management position. The primary responsibilities are to directly manage and supervise the detective and patrol divisions. Knowledge of laws and ordinances and of departmental rules and regulations is required.

The ideal candidate must possess the following: Associates Degree or a minimum of 60 college credits. Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a certified law enforcement officer required. Management/supervisory experience preferred. Must possess and maintain a valid Wisconsin Drivers License that will allow unrestricted performance of their duties. Must possess and maintain valid Wisconsin Law Enforcement Officer Certification or be Certifiable.

2024 Wages: $72,300 – $78,499 per year plus excellent County benefits package and participation in the Wisconsin Retirement System.
