Job Description:

This is a 20 hour per week position with the Support Services Team of the Headquarters Library in Wausau. The hours are Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and every other Saturday for four (4) hours. Additional hours to attend meetings, workshops or to fill in for other staff may be required.

The purpose of this position is to organize and distribute library materials. The work is performed under the direction of the Page Team Lead and/or the Support Services Manager.

Working on or completed high school diploma or equivalent.

Please note: If selected candidate is under the age of 16, a WI work permit is required before any work can be performed.

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

Sort and shelve materials in proper order.
Empty book return bins.
Check in materials as needed.
Scan, straighten and proofread shelves to assure materials are in proper order.
Select items off the shelves from a list.
Unpacks materials coming into the library.
Answer basic questions from customers in a pleasant manner.
Recommends changes to processes and procedures to improve efficiency.
Develops and maintains positive relationships with staff and customers.
Maintains regular and predictable attendance; works extra hours as required.
Performs related work as required.

Starting Salary: $13.60 per hour. This part-time position is not eligible for any benefits.
