Legal Secretary – District Attorney (Part-Time)
Chippewa County is accepting applications for a Part-Time Legal Secretary position within the District Attorney Department. The job duties of the Legal Secretary include but are not limited to assisting the District Attorney and Assistant District Attorneys in the prosecution of criminal and civil matters referred by law enforcement agencies; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to County residents and the general public.
This is a 28 hour per week part-time position.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Associate’s degree in Legal or Administrative Assistant field of study required.
• Associate’s degree in Paralegal preferred.
• Two (2) years of legal or office experience required.
• Minimum of six (6) months’ legal office experience required.
• Knowledge of the criminal legal system and legal terminology required.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Starting Wage: $26.84 – $29.17 per hour depending on qualifications plus an excellent fringe benefit package. Maximum Wage: $35.00 per hour.
