LEGAL ASSISTANT – CHILD SUPPORT
Chippewa County is accepting applications a Legal Assistant within the Child Support Department. The job duties of the Legal Assistant include but not limited to providing legal, technical and clerical support for the Child support agency staff and Attorney; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to County residents and the general public.
Minimum Qualifications: Associate’s degree in Administrative Professional, Executive Assistant, Legal Studies, Paralegal, Business Management or related field of study required. Two (2) years’ recent work experience in administrative support or clerical field that includes having worked directly with the general public required. Experience working with legal documents preferred. Knowledge of Kids Information Data System (KIDS) is preferred. Must be bondable. Notary/Ability to obtain Notary if required. Starting Wage: $23.16 – $25.17 per hour depending on qualifications plus an excellent fringe benefit package. Maximum Wage: $30.20 per hour
