Land Conservation Intern
Do you enjoy working outside and have a passion for Land Conservation efforts? If so the Monroe County Land Conservation Department is hiring a summer intern to work 40 hours per week for a total of 480 hours. Successful candidates will have a high school diploma with a minimum of two years post-secondary education pursuing a degree in a natural resources field with enrollment for the fall 2025 semester. Experience with ArcMap, ArcCatalog, ArcPro, ArcGIS StoryMaps, and other ESRI products is desired. A valid driver’s license is required.
Our Land Conservation Intern will assist in a wide range of conservation related programs to include inspecting and maintaining the stream monitoring stations. This position will assist with engineering surveys, designs, and construction inspections of conservation practices. Our intern will also collect information for conservation plan development and assist with Farmland Preservation Program monitoring.
Hiring salary is $18/hr. This is a limited term opportunity from mid-May through the end of August.
