Applications are being accepted for full-time Jailer/Dispatcher positions in the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office. Individuals in this position perform a variety of duties, either involving the care and custody of prisoners confined to the Taylor County Jail or the operation of the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office Communication Center, including the 911 system. These positions are non-sworn and without powers of arrest.

Applicants must be a high school graduate or GED equivalent. Consideration will be given for prior law enforcement experience. Applicants will be subject to a medical examination, drug screening and background investigation.

A completed Taylor County [Law Enforcement Deputy or Jailer/Dispatcher] application is required to be considered for this position. Applications will be accepted until our needs are met.
