Are you a motivated self-starter with a knack for all things IT? If so, Monroe County might have the job for you. We are hiring a full-time IT Analyst. Successful candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information technology or closely related field. Three years’ experience with progressively responsible technology related experience working directly with computer network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, Intranets/Extranets, internet connectivity with involvement in physical and virtual server maintenance, VPN’s, firewalls, and layer 2 and 3 switching is desired. Experience to include system-wide practice with a large organization in enterprise wide is preferred. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired may also be considered. A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and sufficient driver liability insurance are required.

Our IT Analyst is responsible for planning, implementing, supporting, updating, monitoring, changing, and protecting the County data information systems, databases, and applications to provide a stable and secure IT environment. This position assists with developing, maintaining, and supporting the network infrastructure to provide a stable and secure IT environment. This position also analyzes current systems, procedures, and design to facilitate efficient operations.
