Human Services Director

This department head position reports directly to the County Administrator and leads the Behavioral Health, Child Welfare, Long-Term Support, and Economic Support units in delivering excellent services to the residents of Kewaunee County. The selected candidate will manage a staff of 30+ individuals and an annual budget of $6.5 million. The successful candidate will have outstanding interpersonal skills, knowledge of laws and regulations that govern public human services, and the ability to prioritize available resources to meet the needs of county residents. Kewaunee County Human Services applies trauma-informed practices in its work, and believes that all people are capable of success.
• Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, administration, business management or a closely related field. 5 years of demonstrated leadership within a human services agency or experience in management of a social services organization. A combination of relevant education and experience will be considered in lieu of Master’s Degree.
• This is a full-time position with a minimum 2027 salary over $104,000, actual earnings dependent on qualifications and experience. Our excellent benefit package includes: Wisconsin Retirement System, health insurance, strong paid time off plans, and more!
