Do you have strong attention to detail and enjoy working with collections and billing while assisting others? If so, Monroe County’s Finance Department might have the job for you! We’re hiring for a full-time Human Services Accountant I – Collections and Billing Support. Successful candidates will have a two year degree in Accounting or business related field. Experience with Microsoft Office products is required. A minimum of two years of financial experience with a minimum of at least one year experience performing similar job duties of this position is desired. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired will also be considered.

Our Human Services Accountant I – Collections and Billing Support provides support to the Accounts Receivable functions of the Human Services Department. This position enters provider authorizations for the Program Participation System including central data, alcohol and drug abuse, and Mental Health and uploads the PPS data into the state reporting site. This position also completes receipting and deposits into our fiscal software.

Starting salary for this position is: $16.00 – $17.50 hourly depending on qualifications and experience. Monroe County offers an excellent benefit package to include health with vision, dental, term life, Wisconsin Retirement System, and more.
