Salary: $27.81 per hour
Position Summary:
The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the HR department, ensuring the smooth operation and efficiency of HR functions. This role involves handling confidential employee information, assisting with onboarding processes, maintaining accurate personnel records, and supporting various HR initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Full-cycle onboarding:
Background checks, scheduling pre-employment testing.
Preparing and reviewing new hire paperwork.
Conducting new hire orientation
Assist in managing the employee recognition program under the guidance of the HR Manager.
Communicate professionally and confidentially with employees and colleagues.
Maintain accurate employee records (new hire files, wage changes, promotions).
Scan/file documents into personnel records.
Assist in development and maintenance of personnel filing systems.
Coordinate annual background checks, misconduct registry, license renewals.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of experience working in a Human Resources office.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy.
Preferred:
Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
Working knowledge of common HR functions and procedures.
A combination of education and experience will be considered.
