Highway Operations Superintendnet
This position is responsible to ensure essential services are provided to maintain the public infrastructure to provide for safety, health, and welfare of the public by assisting in the project and crew oversight of road and bridge maintenance, rehabilitation, landfill operations, and snow removal operations.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent and five (5) years of experience in highway construction, maintenance and repair or similar industry with two (2) years’ supervisory/previous crew leader or foreman experience.
Wisconsin CDL with Class A with N endorsement or obtain within six (6) months from date of hire.
Bridge Inspector Certification
Able to obtain the following certification/licenses:
Flagger (Traffic Control)
Traffic Incident Management Training
Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA) Miner
First Aid / CPR
Able to show competence in the following areas:
Forklift Operation
Trench Safety
Personal Protective Equipment
Hazardous Materials identification
Emergency response protocols
Appointment will be conditional upon successful completion of the following pre-employment drug test.
Starting Wage: $31.85 per hour. Juneau County offers a generous benefits package.
