Highway Engineer Intern
The Chippewa County Highway Department is seeking an Engineering Intern. Focus includes highway and bridge engineering and surveying, construction and maintenance inspection, and construction and maintenance materials handling under the supervision of one or more Highway Department Supervisors. This position is seasonal, non-recurring, and limited term requiring 40 hours per week. Internship would begin May 2023 until August – September 2023 for a maximum of 975. Minimum Qualifications: H.S. diploma/GED required. Must have completed 2 semesters of higher education coursework related to civil engineering or other related course of study with a transportation or road and bridge construction emphasis. Knowledge and/or experience in the fundamentals of drafting and surveying (level and transit) preferred. Knowledge of construction techniques and materials, AutoCAD and/or Civil3D software preferred.
