Oneida County is accepting applications to fill a full-time Finance Technician position with the Finance Department. This position performs a variety of complex accounting functions involving the auditing and maintenance of the County’s voucher and billing system, various State and Federal reports, and employee insurance billing systems. The starting 2021 hourly wage for this position is $20.87 per hour plus fringe benefit package.
Qualified individual must have High School diploma or equivalent, two years post high school education in accounting, bookkeeping or related, and one year’s experience in a professional environment involving accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, or related field. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of computer hardware, software and accessories, the ability to learn and function in a variety of tasks, be detail oriented, and be able to operate a 10-key calculator with accuracy and without looking at the keys.
