This is a full-time position with a typical 37.5 hour workweek.
Under general direction of the County Administrator, is responsible for financial management of the County and all subsidiary financial information systems developed and used in County departments; assists in the development of the County budget; establishes or recommends major economic objectives and policies; provides accounting and statistical data; and supervises and participates in the preparation and analysis of various financial statements and reports. Performs related duties as required.
Bachelors Degree with major in accounting from an accredited college or university required; Masters Degree in Accounting or CPA; Five or more years of responsible governmental accounting and auditing experience, with budget management experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Wages & Benefits
Wage range – $3,732 – $4,797 biweekly, with negotiable starting salary dependent upon qualifications and experience. Calumet County offers a complete benefits package.
