Field Services Lieutenant
Chippewa County is accepting applications for a Field Services Lieutenant position within the Sheriff’s Department. The job duties of the Lieutenant – Field Services include but are not limited to effectively maintain and supervise the Field Services Division, Patrol and Investigations, of the Sheriff’s Office; to detect and prevent potential criminal activity through patrols, enforcement of traffic laws; to promote community, government and police partnerships to address crime and other community issues. The powers and duties are extended through deputation by the Sheriff and are conferred by statute. These duties include serving the community; safeguarding lives and property; protecting the innocent; and keeping the peace and ensuring the rights of all to liberty, equality, and justice.
Minimum Qualifications: Associate’s degree in Protective Service with a minimum of six (6) years of recent full-time law enforcement experience required. Must be WI Law Enforcement Standard Board Certified. Supervisory experience preferred. Valid driver’s license and cell phone required. Starting Wage: $33.47 – $36.15 per hour depending on qualifications plus an exceptional fringe benefit package. Maximum Wage: $45.19 per hour.
