Applications are now being accepted for a part-time Department of Human Services Family Preservation Worker position. Hours of 22 per week dependent on case load. Primary duties are to work directly with the parents/caregivers, natural supports, children, adolescents, and social workers to strengthen families. This position requires flexibility to meet the requirements for client interaction and may include early morning or evening work with work most often performed in clients’ homes and community.
Qualifications include:
An associate degree in human services, education, child development or related field(s) with a minimum of two-year related experience. Combination of education and experience providing the equivalent level of knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered. Knowledge of child development, parenting strategies, trauma, and understanding of child behaviors to guide parents using strength-based strategies is needed. This position is also a member of the social services team that is responsible for receiving and documenting child abuse reports. Must have a valid Wisconsin driver’s license. Basic computer literacy.
The 2025 Wage is $ 21.65/hr. -$24.74/hr. commensurate upon the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
