Then Pepin County has the right position for you! We are currently recruiting for a Family Preservation Worker in the Social Services team of Child Protection and Youth Justice.
The Family Preservation Worker works directly with the parents/caregivers, natural supports, children, adolescents, and social workers to strengthen families. This position requires flexibility to meet the requirements for client interaction and may include early morning or evening work with work most often performed in client’s homes and community.

Qualifications include an Associate Degree in human services, education, child development or related field(s) with a minimum of two-year related experience. Combination of education and experience providing the equivalent level of knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered. Knowledge of child development, parenting strategies, trauma, and understanding of child behaviors to guide parents using strength-based strategies is needed. This position is also a member of the social services team that is responsible for receiving and documenting child abuse reports.
Wage scale for this position is $18.51-$21.15 per hour. This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week with a complete benefit package included. Travel for home visits, trainings and meetings is required.
