POSITION SUMMARY:
This position provides building cleaning and grounds maintenance duties to provide a clean and safe environment for workers and the public. This position will be specifically aligned to supporting the Highway department building in Baldwin, WI.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be required and assigned.

Cleans offices, keeps rest rooms clean and supplied with soap, towels, and tissues.
Sweeps, mops, scrubs with walk behind scrubber, and buffs floors in offices, hallways, and other facilities.
Washes windows, walls, and light fixtures.
Empties waste and recycling containers and disposes into proper dumpster.
Dusts, cleans, and polishes furniture.
Extracts carpeting and spot clean areas as necessary.
Does related work throughout the County s facilities as assigned.
Cuts grass, trims shrubs, shovels snow and performs a variety of grounds maintenance tasks.
Carries out routine tasks such as raising flag, assisting with deliveries, etc.
Makes minor repairs to the building, furniture, and equipment.
Assists training new employees in their job duties.
Operates County owned vehicles, grounds, lawn care and snow removal equipment.
Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Facilities Technician I:

Associates degree or Technical degree in facilities maintenance, mechanical operations, construction trades or closely related field.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience with building mechanicals, operations, and repair.
Equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, and abilities may be substituted for above listed requirements.

Expected Pay Range: $22.96 – $25.98/hour
