Equipment Operator
Jackson County is seeking a hardworking and dedicated individual to join our Highway Department. Under the direction of the Patrol Superintendent, this full-time role involves maintaining and improving the County and State highway systems. From snowplowing to emergency roadwork, your efforts will help keep our roads safe year-round. This position requires operating heavy equipment, performing manual labor, and responding to emergency situations—evenings, weekends, and holidays included.
Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent; Minimum four (4) years’ experience in road maintenance/repair and/or construction work. A Class A (CDL) Commercial driver’s license and a clean driving record is required. 2026 Hiring wage: $23.91 to $25.95 per hour and includes an excellent County benefit package and Wisconsin State Retirement.
