Economic Support Worker

The Pepin County Human Services Department is recruiting a full-time Economic Support Worker. This position performs call center functions for applicants and recipients of Food Share, Medicare, Badger Care Plus and the Wisconsin Shares Child Care Assistance programs, along with occasional face to face interviews for the eight-county Western Region for Economic Assistance (WREA) consortium.
Qualifications Include: graduation from accredited college with an associate degree, preferably in Human Services, Public or Business Administration, Economics, or Accounting. Two years’ related experience preferred. Preference will be given to applicants fluent in Spanish.
The 2026 Wage scale for the position is dependent on experience at $22.51-$25.73 per hour. This is a full-time position scheduled Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. a complete benefit package including Wisconsin Retirement with the option for full-time remote work.
