Economic Support Specialist/Income Maintenance Worker

Columbia County Health & Human Services is a trauma sensitive, strengths-based agency seeking a Full-time Economic Support Specialist/Income Maintenance Worker. The successful candidate must be reliable, professional, compassionate, able to interpret complex rules and regulations and use good judgment to make appropriate eligibility decisions, have exceptional organizational skills, the ability to perform mathematical calculations, the ability to work quickly within deadlines, have advanced knowledge of universal computer technology and general office equipment, interpersonal skills, conflict resolution skills, and conduct investigative interviews for various Public Assistance programs, as well as meet performance measures. Answer calls for Capital Consortium up to 75% of the time. Prior knowledge of FoodShare, Medical Assistance, BadgerCare Plus, Child Care, and Caretaker Supplement or Elderly, Blind, and Disabled programs helpful. Qualifications: Associate or Business Degree from an accredited Vocational, College, or Technical School in a related field or completion of Wisconsin Dept. of Health Services Income Maintenance New Worker Training Certificate. and two (2) years’ experience working with the public OR equivalent combination of training and experience. Successful completion of Wisconsin Dept. of Health Services Income Maintenance New Worker Training Certificate w/in 6 months of hire date required. Hire rate: $19.013 per hour. Columbia County also offers a temporary COVID-19 premium payment of $100 per month.
