Economic Support Specialist
Chippewa County is accepting applications for an Economic Support Specialist position within the Department of Human Services – Economic Support Division. This is a remote work position. The job duties of the Economic Support Specialist position include but are not limited to: determining eligibility and providing ongoing case management for Chippewa County/Great Rivers Income Maintenance Consortium in a timely and accurate manner for the following public assistance programs: Medical Assistance, BadgerCare Plus, Food Share/SNAP, Caretaker Supplement (CTS), and Wisconsin Shares Child Care subsidies.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s in any discipline with one (1) year or more of experience as an Income Maintenance / Economic Support Specialist in the state of Wisconsin required.
– OR –
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or financial related program required with one (1) year of recent human services or financial work experience preferred.
• Previous work experience with benefit programs and determining benefit eligibility preferred. Work experience must include direct customer contact.
• Must have knowledge of and experience with computers and strong interpersonal skills.
• A valid driver’s license required.

Starting Wage: $24.29 – $26.40 per hour depending on qualifications plus an excellent fringe benefit package. Maximum Wage: $31.68 per hour.
