Economic Support Specialist
Jackson County is seeking to fill an Economic Support Specialist position at the Department of Health and Human Services. This position serves as a primary contact for persons seeking help through Public Assistance. This position determinations and completes case management of Economic Support Programs. Duties include screening, interviewing, and gathering and verifying information to determine eligibility when processing applications and renewals; re-determine eligibility based on reported changes and; accurately maintaining all financial and other data relevant to consortium cases and case management.
Requirements: A High School Diploma or equivalent. Post-secondary coursework in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting or Communications along with experience in income maintenance preferred. Possess and maintain a valid Wisconsin Driver’s license. Economic Support New Worker Training and CARES/CWW Certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
2021 Wage Range: $15.31 – $19.14 per hour plus excellent County benefit package and State retirement plan.
