The job duties of the Early Intervention Specialist include but are not limited to provide and coordinate early intervention services to children (age birth to 3) with a developmental disability, and their families; to provide special instruction, service coordination, parent education, supportive services, evaluations, information, and referral services; to act as a liaison between the family and the community. Services are provided in the child’s natural environment and involve early detection of developmental disabilities and enhancing the family’s ability to support their child’s development; and to provide responsive, courteous, and efficient service to County residents and the general public.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Health or Human Services field required. One (1) year of supervised experience working with the developmentally disabled children and their families. Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Early Childhood – Exceptional Educational Needs (EC-EEN) – 808 (or 809) licenses or Social Work Certification upon hire is required. Starting Wage: $28.94 – $31.45 per hour depending on qualifications plus an excellent fringe benefit package. Maximum Wage: $37.74 per hour
