Dispatcher
This position provides critical assistance to the public through answering both County-wide emergency calls for service as well as administrative calls for the Juneau County Sheriff’s Department and dispatches appropriate Law Enforcement and/or Emergency Medical Services personnel. Provides responsive, courteous and efficient service to County residents and the general public.
This position works 12-hour shifts from 5:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m. 84 hours per pay period with 8 hours per pay period paid out at time and a half.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Ability to obtain a current NCIC and Emergency Dispatching certification.
Successful completion of Basic Law Enforcement Communications Officer’s Course and maintain continuing education hours throughout employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Two (2) years of experience as a Dispatcher.
Starting Wage: $22.71 per hour. Juneau County offers a generous benefits package.
