Disease Intervention Specialist
The Disease Intervention Specialist is responsible for professional public health work in the development, coordination, and implementation of efforts to reduce the incidence of communicable diseases in the community. This is achieved through health education, public health disease follow up, treatment assurance, linkage to care, contact notification and population-based interventions. Provides daily program management and is responsible for the timely follow up for all communicable diseases. The effect of this position is to prevent and control diseases and infections in Trempealeau County, especially in certain high morbidity areas and populations.
