Director – Land Management
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The purpose of this position is to plan, organize, direct and administer Department of Land Management programs according to applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations to protect and enhance the land and water resources of Trempealeau County and the health, safety, welfare and quality of life of residents. The work is performed under the direction of the Environment and Land Use Committee.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resources or related field, five years land conservation and/or zoning experience; or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. Budgeting, plan and grant writing and supervisory/management experience preferred. Valid motor vehicle operator’s license required.
COMPENSATION / BENEFITS:
The 2021 annual salary for this full-time (80 hours bi-weekly), exempt position is $72,966 to $99,528 (step 20). The expected starting annual salary is $72,966 to $82,929 (step 4), depending upon qualifications. Trempealeau County’s compensation plan considers annual wage step increases.
